ATTACHMENT 1st WEEK

The week that I had been waiting for is here. In 2 more weeks (10 days to be accurate), it'll be over. Super fast. So, my attachment at my ward is super boring. Well, the others said so too. I'm in the same ward as Yolanda, Amin and Jolene. Here is a summary of what I did the whole week.

Monday: 1st day of attachment. Everyone was blur. So met Pramod in the morning and went off to the ward together. Then we saw, Yolanda, Amin, Haziqah, Nurul and Sandy. I'm in the same ward as them so we went off together. We were late lah. For like 5 mins. Coz we couldn't find the tea room of the ward and we didn't know where the rest were.

1st day was nothing much. Just that the CI, always find fault with us. But what the heck. She's forgiven. I mean she has never had Ngee Ann students. She wouldn't understand us.

Tuesday: 2nd day of attachment. Was still quite blur. Didn't know the ward well. Its a NHC ward for god's sake. Has never worked with them. Didn't know how the whole team worked. The forms that they used were also different. The I/O chart is not like the usual one we use. Yes...Weird. And, I did ECG. I did one on Monday and second one Tuesday. Then, all we did was answer call bell. And again, CI find fault with us.

Wednesday: 3rd day of attachment. Did ECG again and answer call bell. Hmmm..Then, after the shift, we went to HPB. Because, Amin got questioned by the Senior Consultant about calorie intake of a patient. And he is so guai as to go and find out. Awesome Amin!

Then, after that, I went home. And found out my room has transformed. IT TURNED PINK!! PINK!!!!!! My papa painted my room PINK!! And I guess Bing bing won't go in my room ever again. Sorry Bing. I have to learn to love pink now. 1 word for it...EEEEWWWW!!! Then, after that, I went out. To meet Aifah, Khad and Azuu. HAHA! To celebrate Khad's belated birthday. Azuu gave her a birthday cake. Super nice. Lemon! Aifah gave her a Purple bracelet with her name on it. I gave her a snow globe with our picture in it. And yes, Khad is still thinking how I put our picture in it. Right Khad? HAHA! Too bad. I won't let you know. Muahahahaha!!

Thursday: 4th day. Nothing much. Mainly, did nothing. There were few patients. So, we just stand around. O ya, did half of the case study. It was also no use coz the patients will be discharged fast. Talked to a Medical Student named John. He's friendly and nice. Talked about our curriculum and stuff. So cute. Ms Bao told us an advice. "Do not get close to MO" HAHA!! My 1st time breaking fast in the ward. It was super awesome. The staff was so fun! Gossip here and there. Muahaha!! Getting more sins.

The best part was when we were going back to the tea room where I saw my babysitter. As in, the lady and family who took care of me when I was little when my parents went off to work. Love them alot. Abg Fairuz has his own kids now and he told me that I was not as naughty as his kids. HEEHEEHEE!! =D..See...I'm guai!

Friday: 5th day. FUN FUN FUN!! The best day of attachment I will never ever experience. Wana know why? Because, my room (shared with Yolanda, consists of 2 cubicles and 12 bedded) has only 3 patients. How awesome is that? HAHA!! JKJK. Crazy man. So, didn't do much. At least I did tube feeding today. If not, I won't have the chance. There is only 1 tube feeding in B2 ward. Then, there was a transfer from high D so now, got 2 tube feeding. But, the other one will stop tube feeding soon. So, its back to 1. HAHA!! Sad right. Its like all 7 of us in B2 are fighting for the skills to do and we have to depend on that one patient to finish our skills. YES! It is very bad. I'm almost done for case study. Yipee!! Yolanda n Jolene too. Goodluck Amin. HAHA!! =P

Wake me up when September ends......

Wooo hoo...So, it has been quite a while since I last Blogged.

Firstly, it's SEPTEMBER 9!! A BIG SHOUT OUT TO KHAD!! HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY BABEH!! Love ya loads!! No sabo-ing this year. HAHA!! Have fun!! =D

Secondly, CONGRATULATIONS TO AZUU!! Her finals were....

Thirdly, my attachments are coming. Woo hoo!! Can't wait. Yeah right. I'm lying there. Wait...Don't get me wrong. I love what I do. I love doing Nurses job. But attachments are just so boring. HAHA!! I mean we have to do stuff under supervision and have to get the skills signed. AND, it is kinda hard to get it signed when there are lots more other students wanting and waiting to get it signed. We have to like fight for it. AND, I have to get another 12 core skills signed in the 3 weeks. I'm so dead. BUT, I will work my very best to achieve it. Chey chey...HAHA!!

Its the fasting month. And time seems to pass really fast. Coz we're looking forward to the end of the day everyday. And by the time you know it, it is already the next day. Its kinda good. Hope attachment will pass this fast. Heehee!

Yeah..that's all for now. More to come. However, warning....I might not blog during my attachment period. HAHA! Will be too tired and busy. HAHA! =P

AND...I'm gona kill somebody on Saturday. I think you know who you are. Well, Ling knows. HAHA!! =P

Fullerton anyone?..............NIKE RUN!!!

31 Aug, NIKE Run

The day that most of us have been waiting for. It wasn't such a disappointment though some of the things were disappointing. HAHA!! Well, before we got there, we went to Marina Square to buy lunch and saw people wearing the NIKE Run t-shirt. Both runners' and Crews'. The tee for them were nice. BUT, when we reached padang, met the I/C, and collect our stuff....and oh my gosh....we got a plain black tee and a neon green mash vest (the tee was our's but we had to give the vest back)...WOOO HOOO!! We looked like people doing CWOs. Very sad. But all was good. Abu had 'the time of his life' and had to listen to his Carpenters over and over again went we were stationed. So kelian.

Then there was the awesome concert. Liling, Dihao and Abu left 1st coz they were on the morning shift the day after. Left with me, Pris, Aifah and Yazid. But Aifah and Yazid left after Boys Like Girls finish playing 'Heels Over Head'. There were performing acts by The Great Spy Experiment, Zul Mystroe and more. Well, afterall everybody was there for....you know it, BOYS LIKE GIRLS. And yes, they did rock the house. The hosts were UTT and TAYA. Me and Pris were screaming for Utt like siao. HAHA!! We almost touch his hand ok!!! But our's were too short. It's ok. HAHA!!

29 Aug, Teacher's Day Celebration cum Fullerton!! (ps: LONG post, lotsa picss)

Yeah...so, what made the day was not the Teacher's Day celebration though we were happy to see the teachers again but it was the trip to Fullerton and camwhored there. Miss Azuu, Pet and Khad like nutssss...

A few days before we went back to West Spring SS, we were told by our former form teacher that the President was coming. HAHAHA!! That was my reaction. I told Petrina that he was joking or something. Then Tow Koon asked Mrs Ang and guess what, IT WAS TRUE!! Couldn't believe it. Me and Pet were like why would the President be there? West Spring is just a normal Sec school. Then, it was because of the President's challenge thing. Kinda cool. The school changed alot after we left. Gona build an indoor sports hall (DAMN!!!). There were only 3 performances. It was ok lah..all dance, Hip Hop...Modern contemporary. We changed from a jamming performing school to a dancing performing school. HAHAH!!

Then we went off to Bukit Panjang Plaza to grab a bite before we went to Starbucks at Esplanade. Spent some time there to catch up with each other. Then we went off to Fullerton Hotel. Woooo Hoooo!! Camwhored. It was Tow Koon's idea at first. HAHA!! Azuu takes nice picss!! Then we went off to Suntec to have dinner.
